The Indo-Australian Chamber of Commerce (IACC), established in 1989, is the only bilateral Chamber of Commerce in India that facilitates and promotes trade and investment between India and Australia. The Chamber was established on a vision of two former Prime Ministers – Mr. Bob Hawke, Prime Minister of Australia and Mr. Rajiv Gandhi, Prime Minister of India. It was formally inaugurated on 22nd June 1989 by His Excellence Graham Feakes A.O., the then High Commissioner of Australia in India.
The Australian High Commissioner to India is the Patron of the Chamber.
The Chamber is headquartered in Chennai and has Chapters in Northern India, Western India, Southern India, Bengaluru and East India. The Chamber has approx. 500 members across sectors. Industry-Sector leadership forums for priority sectors like Science & Innovation, Resources & METS, Health, Education, Infrastructure, Agribusiness and F&B and others, offer members sector-specific engagement and business opportunities.

Through our strong relationship with both the Australian and India Governments and a wide network of partners, trade bodies and business leaders, we ensure we offer a wide variety of benefits that help members to succeed in both markets.
